οἱ δὲ ἀφικόμενοι τιμωρεῖν τῷ θεῷ τοσοίδε ἐγένοντο Ἑλλήνων· Φωκεῖς μὲν ἀπὸ τῶν πόλεων πασῶν, ἐκ δὲ Ἀμφίσσης ὁπλῖται τετρακόσιοι.
The syntax shifts from the main clause with ἀφικόμενοι τιμωρεῖν... ἐγένοντο to an explanatory appositional list introduced by Φωκεῖς μὲν ... ἐκ δὲ ...; the exact attachment of τοσοίδε is somewhat interpretive.
