ἐπῴκησαν δὲ καὶ Ἑρμιόνα ὕστερον Δωριεῖς οἱ ἐξ Ἄργους· πόλεμον δὲ οὐ δοκῶ γενέσθαι σφίσιν, ἐλέγετο γὰρ ἂν ὑπὸ Ἀργείων.
Two clauses are coordinated only loosely by δέ; the second contains an indirect statement with δοκῶ + infinitive, followed by a passive impersonal ἐλέγετο explaining the preceding claim.
