εἴχετο ἔτι τῆς μητρὸς καὶ ἐκ τῶν μαστῶν εἷλκεν αὐτῆς γάλα πολὺ καὶ ἄφθονον, καὶ---ἦν γὰρ τοῦ Ἄρεως γνώμῃ τὰ γινόμενα---τούτων ἕνεκα Ἀφνειὸν τὸν θεὸν ὀνομάζουσι· τῷ δὲ παιδίῳ ὄνομα τεθῆναί φασιν Ἀέροπον.
