ὁ δὲ Ἀλέξανδρος ἦν νεώτατος τῶν Κασσάνδρου παίδων· ἐπαγαγόμενος δὲ Δημήτριον τὸν Ἀντιγόνου καθεῖλε μὲν διʼ ἐκείνου καὶ ἐτιμωρήσατο τὸν ἀδελφὸν Ἀντίπατρον, ἀνεφάνη μέντοι φονέα ἐξευρηκὼς ἑαυτῷ καὶ οὐ σύμμαχον.
The sentence has two coordinated clauses: Alexander is the youngest of Cassander's children; after bringing Demetrius in, he overthrew and punished Antipater through Demetrius, but proved to have found a murderer rather than an ally for himself.
