Passage 9.38.1
The Orchomenians have also a shrine dedicated to Dionysus, but their most ancient sanctuary is that of the Charites (Graces). They hold the stones in great reverence, affirming that they fell from heaven during the reign of Eteocles. The statues, however, adorned with their ornaments, were set up in my own time, and these too are made of stone.
